Job Description

‍We are looking for an experienced Accountant to oversee our financial operations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. The Accountant will play a critical role in managing day-to-day accounting tasks, analyzing financial data, and providing strategic insights to support business decisions. Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, budgets, and variance analyses to track performance against targets.
• Conduct regular reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial accounts.
• Maintain fixed asset records and calculate depreciation expenses.
• Assist with tax compliance, including preparation of sales tax returns and supporting documentation for income tax filings.
• Support annual financial audits by providing requested documentation and explanations.
• Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA certification or in the process of obtaining CPA designation preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in a corporate environment.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or Xero.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of interior design or construction industry is a plus.
